About LUCROR

LUCROR  is the association of all commerce faculties and commerce students of the Department of Commerce. The official inauguration of LUCROR  was held on 08-9-2014 by professor K K Ramesh (Indian Institute of Management,  calicut.)

LUCROR provides a platform for the students to exhibit their talents in various commerce oriented events and will also help them to enhance their analytical and decision making skills. The events which we offer will extend a platform to grasp team work, critical thinking, and creative learning and also to build self confidence.

Objectives

1.  To expose students to the practical aspects of business, industry and commerce.

2.  To develop leadership, entrepreneurial and organizing skills among the students

3.  To develop team spirit among students.

4.  To make commerce students more productive in the business and industries.

5.  To provide career guidance & helps students to

achieve their goals

6.  To provide necessary information about recent trends in commerce & management

Working Plan

Every year the proposed activity of the Commerce Association are finalized in the meeting of Commerce Association.

The Commerce Association consists of teachers from the Commerce Faculty and few students representing each class

The Calendar of annual activities are finalized in the meeting of the Association is communicated to the class representative of each class.

Students of Each class will conduct monthly programs in relation with commerce association .

 The student members of the commerce association meet once in a week and engage themselves in various activities related with Commerce Association. 

Normally the following activities can be cited as few examples of the activities of our Association:

·      Mock interview competition.

·      Group Discussion/ Debating/ Elocution on contemporary issue.

·      Guest Lectures.

·      Career Guidance.

·      Management and Business Quiz.

·      Industrial Visits.

·       Best Manager, Business Plan

·      Marketing, Human Resource Management, Public Relation,

·      Mock Stock, and Financial Analysis,business games etc.

Association Inauguration – LUCROR

TIME:  10.00 AM

The formal inauguration of the Commerce Students Association ‘LUCROR’ at Lissah College was held on November 15th 2023 at 10.00AM in the AV Hall. The programme started by evoking the blessings of Lord Almighty. Mr.Aswin Chackochan, President of Commerce Association delivered a welcome address. Dr. Benny Joseph, Principal of LISSAH, delivered the presidential address and administered the oath. Throughout his speech, he talked about the importance of stock market and expressed his wishes to the program. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries thereby officially launching the Commerce Association. This was followed by the speech of Dr. Nithin Jose, Asst. Professor, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Devagiri, highlighted the importance of Commerce association and also spoke about financial Literacy. Mr. Vikas George HOD of Commerce department has delivered felicitation during the remarkable occasion. He expressed his wishes to the program. A small video regarding the activities of the Commerce Association was revealed during the program. Ms. Aiswarya Roy, Assistant Professor and Staff coordinator of Commerce Association, proposed a vote of thanks.

After the official inauguration ceremony the chief guest, Dr. Nithin Jose took a session on' Financial Literacy, A Millennia'a Guide to Personal Finance’ and explained how we should use our cash in a profitable way. His session was imparting new knowledge to everyone. After that he answered the doubts of students. In the afternoon session there was a paper presentation by the students. Mr. Amal PS, second year student done a presentation on Digital Currency and Ms. Apoorva’s presentation was on Corporate Social Responsibility.

Report of the Association (LUCROR) Inauguration for the year 2021-22

The official inauguration of LUCROR (2021-22) was held on 15-12-2021, Wednesday in auditorium at 10.30 am. Ms. Parajina Jaanaki @ Klum by Parajina Jaanaki, a well known women entrepreneur   inaugurated the association.

Ms. Parajina Jaanaki’s journey towards her passion started in 2016 by commencing her own fabric outlet in Thamarassery and now she owns so many outlets across Kerala. She was awarded the best women entrepreneur award 2019 by the Calicut Management Association.

Dr. Benny Joseph Principal LISSAH, presided over the function.    Rev Fr Niju Thalachira  CST, Director LISSAH, administered the oath of the newly elected office bearers and class representatives and deliver the keynote address.  Ms.Sona Sahadevan , secratary, LUCROR welcomes the gathering. Mr. Vikas George, head of the department felicitated the program. Ms. Merin Peter, Staff Advisor , LUCROR proposed the vote of thanks.

 Rev Fr Niju Thalachira  CST, Director LISSAH, presented the memento to the honorable chief guest.

After the inaugural session, the chief guest, Ms. Parajina Jaanaki interacted with the students on the topic of problems and prospects of entrepreneurship.

After the interaction session, a Student Development Program(SDP) was conducted by M Com students. Thereafter cultural games and management games was organized for the students. The function came to an end by 3.30 pm.

The official inauguration of LUCROR (2019-20) was held on 03-09-2019, Tuesday in auditorium at 10 am. Dr. Mohandas A, head of the department of commerce, Govt. College Kodanchery inaugurated the association.

Prof. Varughese Mathew, principal LISSAH, presided over the function.    Rev Fr Boby Pullolickal CST, Manager LISSAH, administered the oath taking of the newly elected office bearers and class representatives and felicitated the program.  Ms. Jisha Thomas, staff advisor, LUCROR welcomes the gathering. Mr. Vikas George, head of the department felicitated the program. Mr. Nithin Das, secretary, LUCROR proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr. Mohandas A distributes certificates to the participants of Entrepreneurship Development Programme organized by Kerala Institute for Entrepreneurship Development at Ernakulum. Prof. Varughese Mathew presented the memento and Rev. Fr.Boby pullolickal CST presented the gift to honorable chief guest.

A tribute to Arun Jaitley (late former finance minister) – contribution to Indian economy and HR games organized by the students. The function came to an end by 3.30 pm.
